About Kami

Kami Butterfield is a 23 year veteran teacher in the Baxter Springs (KS) School District. Her third grade classroom is completely paperless with the use of one to one iPads. She presents what she does in her classroom all over the United States. With the use of four free apps, her class produces projects, practices math, collaborates with others, explains their reading, finds text based evidence while reading, and creates amazing examples of their learning for their parents to see.

She has been part of three nationally known conferences in the US: Happy Go Teach, Hello Literacy Conference, and Teach Your Heart Out. In 2019, she will be co-hosting her own technology conference with Jen Jones. She provides daily PD with her Instagram account, answers questions that other teachers have by sending step-by-step videos, and offers simple solutions for tricky technology. In February 2017,

she was recognized as Midwest Spotlight Educator. She is one of the original Pic Collage ambassadors, a Seesaw ambassador, an EPIC! Master teacher, and Classkick mentor. With her eight years of experience with these devices, Kami shows teachers the simple ways to help their amazing classroom run more smoothly and help children create authentic learning experiences.

As an avid user of technology, Kami also does professional development on any type of device for the classroom. She is a self-taught technology guru. She helps teachers find simple solutions to enhance lessons taught in the classroom.
